Open Sans font pairings

Open Sans was designed with an upright stress, open forms, and a neutral, yet friendly appearance. It was optimized for print, web, and mobile interfaces, and has excellent legibility characteristics in its letterforms.

Open Sans was created by Steve Matteson, an American typeface designer whose work is included in several computer operating systems and embedded in game consoles, cell phones, and other electronic devices. He is the designer of the Microsoft font family Segoe included since Windows XP; of the Droid font collection used in the Android mobile device platform

Open Sans contains the complete 897 character set, which includes the standard ISO Latin 1, Latin CE, Greek and Cyrillic character sets. It supports multiple weights, including Light, Light Italic, Regular, Regular Italic, Semi-Bold, Semi-Bold Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Black, Black Italic, Extra-Bold, and Extra-Bold Italic.
